What I love the most about Djoker's year is how shattered peoples' perception of him. 10 months ago he was an afterthought and a one-slam wonder. I remember in 2009, he actually said that he was born in the wrong generation and unlucky to be playing Federer and Nadal. If he can find his great form again with 2012 coming up and the Olympics, it will be guaranteed fireworks. Speaking of fireworks, bring more Nole vs Fed classic matches next year.

As much respect as I have for the Roger-Rafa rivalry, the Roger-Nole rivalry is quickly becoming the single great rivalry of this generation. They've played each other so many times now in Semis and Finals, and almost every single encounter has been nothing short of epic. Then add the mystique of "The Shot" (Fed's between the leg in US Open 2009), "The Comeback" (Nole US Open 2010), "The Shot Part II" (Nole US Open 2011), the Fingerwag (French Open 2011) -- it doesn't get any better than that.

Can't help but wish there were more Fed vs Djoker encounters this year, particularly finals. It's a shame both uber matches this year were in semifinals. Regardless, great vid! The 10-1 stat is incredible. I expect Djoker to reach at least the semis at each GS next year, having numerous matches with Fedal throughout the year, and I am inclined to still give him the definite edge over Nadal. With Fed things get interesting...I am wondering what the tunage is at the start of this one.. :P
