  • Choice B is the GROUND STATE configuration. The question is asking for an EXCITED STATE configuration.

  • When shading the P subshell you also shaded Helium in the top right when it should be shaded with the S subshell. Doesn't matter though I understood.

  • But what about He - at the top of your p subshell - it should be part of the s subshell...............

    This could mean that people watching this - about to take an exam could get chronically steamrolled..
