This is the story of the sinking of the Dorchester ship during WWII and how four chaplains onboard--a Jewish Rabbi, a Catholic Priest, a Dutch Reformed Minister, and a Methodist Minister--performed one of the greatest acts of heroism in history. Their story is currently being made into a feature film.
I recorded this from a radio broadcast a couple of years ago and do not own the rights. If the owners wish me to remove it I certainly will...but I sure hope you don't. This is a story everyone should know.
Charles W. David WOW! Interesting we never hear about him at all. He belongs in the history books in bold print... RIP men of the Dorchester and all our fallen heroes. Every time I meet a WW2 vet I thank them and the answer is always the same. A humble quiet "That was so long ago" I tell them all there are those of us who will never forget what you did for the world. It's impossible to get through it with dry eyes. Simply amazing.

Thank you Mr Fox for the documentary. Incredibly important history and inspirational as all get out.

nice to hear of clergy laying down their lives as sacrifices- so many armchair theologians who would have something to say against each man- but who would cower under the same circumstances...
