RICK SPRINGFIELD....LOOKING FOR THE ONE

"Looking For The One" is taken from the album,"The Early Sound City Sessions" from 1977 - 1978.
All the songs from The Early Sound Sessions were released in 1984 as..."Beautiful Feelings" on Mercury Records,but,only Rick's vocals were used on the "Beautiful Feelings" release & not the original music / arrangements etc...as heard now.
The Early Sound Sessions album was the follow up to Rick's 1976 release,"Wait For Night" on Chelsea Records.
Since Chelsea Records went bankrupt,Rick was without a label & so the Early Sound City Sessions was never released on a major record label until now.
A new artist at the time named, Kim Carnes, did all the female backing vocals on The Early Sound City Sessions album.
Rick performed "Looking For The One" in 1978 on the "Eddie Capra" TV show.
Why Rick could'nt find a major label deal for The Early Sound City Sessions in 1977 - 1978, is a total mystery to me,cause this album is just as good as anything that was released in 1977 / 78 & "Looking For The One" could've been a hit for Rick.....
