It's a knockoff of The Sopranos series finale. The last broadcast episode also had a scene with Jackson Montgomery (Walt Willey) and Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) that was a knockoff of the classic movie, Gone With The Wind. This proves the lack of creativity that the Brian Frons era writers had. Susan Lucci was right about the lack of creativity that the Brian Frons era writers had.
