@Stargate674 Daughtry is ok but how many legitimate singers have come out of American Idol? I mean it's been on what like 10 years already and Kelly Clarkson and Daughtry and maybe a few others. Maybe the problem is that there aren't enough people into rock music these days. Idk

@tjfats2 oh you bastard, you just made fun of my favorite band, daughtry because you said american idol is contributing to the problem. daughtry is a very good alternative rock band, they really put feeling into their songs. listen to daughtry - renegade or drown in you and then tell me american idol is bad!

I listen to what I like and don't care if others don't like it
In fact I listen to mostly heavy metal, black metal and death metal (LOTS of obscure bands ppl haven't heard of) but I grew up in the 90s and appreciated the music. There really aren't that many good bands outside of rock or metal. Even rap has gotten worse in the past few years. All these "talent" shows - American Idol, XFactor, etc. are only contributing to the problem
