I'm a teenager now, and though I do view past decades and generations as being "better" than mine, it seems, like you said, it's all the same. Different music, different styles, different pop culture, but in retrospect there's a lot in common. It seems like past decades look great because only the great things stand the test of time, but each decade has it's own crap. Personally, I think just about every generation before me was better than this one, but I bet they were saying the same thing.

This song is great. But, it would be done better done by GnRs...yes...they would cut off all the silly parts and turned it aggressively/saddly effective. therefore, we should cope with the GnRs annoying shit, s-screams and megalomaniacal guitar solos, but it will work

I was a teen in the 90's and have several younger siblings who are teen now. The 90's was better, no doubt about it. For music at least. The punk/grunge/alt rock scene were revolutionary movements dispensing with the prefabricated theme look of big hair bands and boy bands of the 80's. That type of thing only comes around every so often. All decades have a nich of special movies, music and culture. Look at the teen movies from the 80's, but the 90's was it for music since the 60's.

I am glad we where the first gen of feminist males, and this music scene was let out to be popular. Mostly before the 1990's music that was popular, was about the normal stereotypes. But grunge changed that thankfully.

You all listen to music that helped shape you. I only listen to music from 1990's like this. The music from teens to early adult you listen to helped shaped you, and thats why later on in life you still resonate to it. All popular music is aimed at teens to early adults for this reason, to shape you.

Like i said that time was for me in the 1990's, and its the only music i listen too.
