Im a little confused about something. You computed what you called a "t statistic". Fine. But you didnt use a t-table to compute a probability. Had you done so, what degrees of freedom would you have used? How can you possibly compare 1.6777 with 2.045 using two sample sizes and two degrees of freedom?
