@LeonidasBush yea i know that rule its optional

@mtodd5588 Germany would need to put a lot into their north flank to get it back, or a lot of money into rebuilding a navy, and both really are difficult to do. trust me, using russian fighters in the opening move to take out that detroyer and transport absolutely cripple germany and slow their advancement of men. they have to walk to the line instead of being transported.
-
@mtodd5588 a move you should consider, is using one or two of your fighters to knock out the destroyer and transport in the baltic. you cant get his subs with the plane(s) but at least you take out foundations to a German navy, and eliminate the possibility of the transport unloading troops from germany into Norway. if you can keep Norway, and take out his baltic transport, the 3 IPCs become very difficult and expensive to get back.
-
@TheSultan79 Unless you play with the Straight of Dardanelles open (house rule), then you can't put a transport through the Turkish straights.
-
@infragablecrunk It takes four moves to get to SZ 2. The bomber would not make it back to Germany in this version, so Norway is the only option. If the USSR player attacks Norway, or even does the Norwegian Gambit (it is mentioned as the triple move in the video) and Norway is taken then Germany essentially can't attack the UK fleet. Of course the Gambit is very risky, and the probability that all three attacks succeed is only around 32%.

i think a good strategy with the germans on turn one would be to build transports and inf and hopefully amphib assaualt caucasus next turn because it should fall then
-
I have only played the orig Axis and Allies that game looks different
-
@CaptainMax2008 No, it didn't come with the bills you use to buy stuff. I don't get what you're saying...
-
@blackopszombie1 Isn't that crap? Avalon Hill clearly ain't what they used to be!
-
The thing is that the German bomber doesnt have to land in Norway. It can make it all the way back to Berlin
Yes it is funny how people say I'm doing this or that wrong, and they have no idea what they're talking about. A lot of weird people in the world. Anyways, this is a video of a few 'opening' moves, not the rules and/or how to play. People need to just play the game a few times, the right way, and then watch my videos, it may help and/or give you some different ideas.

You can not start a attack with Soviets against Axis before you begin the 4th round! Till Round 4, Germany will upgrade Eastern Poland with a lot of tanks and infantries..

@ultras05istanbul boy, you people are clueless... if you would just watch the video you all would understand a lot more. first off, this is a video for the 1942 edition! the rule your talking about is in Axis and Allies Europe 1940.

id suggest in round one in hawaii, move ur carrier to los angeles to avoid risk of its destruction,.
baileybushey 5 months ago
@baileybushey Japan goes before USA, and if Japan attacks sea zone 52, then you have no carrier. and 90% of the games i've played, Japan atacks sz52...

You are playing wrong. The bomber can attack the british fleet AND land, because on his 6th move he can GLIDE into france. Its a rule, remember it
rjmoney9 6 months ago
@rjmoney9 what are you talking about? i'm not playing wrong. the bomber can only move a total of 6. there is no "glide rule". and why were you so rude? "its a rule, remember it", maybe you should read the rules before you say something? like i said in the video, i've played this edition a lot, over 150 games now. i know the rules.
