Vote Ron Paul for President. Ron Paul will fight for all of our Constitutional rights. Google Ron Paul, register Republican, vote in Primary. Ron Paul cured my apathy...

Your right, they try to get around the amendments meanings by reading other things into it.The biggest question is whether the militia was to be the people or the State, but it cannot be the State as the Guard is funded by the Federal government.

it's actually much worse 100k+law's
the worst of the worst is the fact that if you a legal citizen a good citizen and can pass a background check, and by happen stance travel to the state next to you to purchase a handgun, you will be refused some states allow non residents to buy a long gun not all.
The only thing for sure is that over the past 90 years are right to bear arms is systamaticaly being taken away.

So government should put prices on all firearms?
Sounds like communism. Why not let a free market decide the prices according to the principles of supply and demand?

Well said. I don't think I've ever heard infringe explained that way, but you hit the mark in that it means to chip away or remove or violate even just a little bit.

Great quotes. Thanks!
Everyone over the age of five (I learned to use a gun younger than that) that is mentally capable, should have a gun, or atleast knowledge to use it. If everyone had a gun, we'd all be alot safer.

WEll said. No country or movement has EVER gotten rights without the use of force or the threat thereof. I know that sounds mean to people, but the other option is eventual enslavement. YOu're right about this. DC's gun ban is a prime example. So is Switzerland's mandatory gun ownership!!! No one attacks them

"The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed the subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty." -- Adolf Hitler (H.R. Trevor-Roper, Hitler's Table Talks 1941-1944)

"If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun." -- The Dalai Lama, (May 15, 2001, The Seattle Times) speaking at the "Educating Heart Summit" in Portland, Oregon, when asked by a girl how to react when a shooter takes aim at a classmate
