Samantha Bennardo a.k.a SICILY, is a unique and charismatic individual whose passion is to be transparent
and accessible while ministering the Gospel as a christian rapper. Born in Brooklyn, New York to a Jewish-Italian family, SICILY attributes her musical roots to her Maternal Grandfather Chillo, who worked with Tito Puente as his timbales player. During SICILY's seven year journey as a christian rapper, she was signed with 2ice born records for three years under which her album Tha God Daughter (featuring hit track "Runaway") was released. To date, SICILY has opened for notable recording artists such as Donnie McClurkin, Da T.R.U.T.H, Superchick and Group 1 Crew. Currently residing in Tampa, Florida, SICILY attends and is a member of Crossover Church pastored by Tommy Kyllonen, artist Urban D. As of March 13, 2011, SICILY's latest mix tape entitled Welcome to the Funeral is available for free download at sicily.bandcamp.com (featuring hit tracks such as "Wake up", "unashamed", "Let go", and "Worthy is the lamb"). New projects from SICILY include a mix tape and album which is scheduled to be released late 2011. As an artist, SICILY's overall objective is to be a humble and relatable individual with out compromising her beliefs.
