This video clip is taken at Pier 39 in San Francisco California last sept 26,2008. i've used to the software image 3 to edit this video. i'm very surprised that my old desktop pc from 2002 still be able to handle and manage this hd camcorder that records on sdhc card. The picture quality would probably result a lot better and faster to edit with if i had a better computer. i also have the DW-100. i bought it so i can share some videos to my friends. but the short coming about it is that the burned DVD from HF100 will only play on blue ray players. so it's useless. unless you friends have the blue ray player. i don't even have it!

  • Popitin2nd, what format did you write the video? I've got this camera, and I'm trying to figure out the best format for uploading to youtube.

  • my computer is weak. i had no choice but to covert the high def files to mpeg4 format. i use the image mixer that came with the camcorder. which only coverts the file to h264 format after editing. then transfer and save the file to my pc hard drive. which coverts it mpg or mp4. from here i can now download it to youtube.

  • hey how much did u pay for yours and where did u get it.

  • i paid $600 at amazon. but now it's lower. i actually sold it for $500 and got me the hf11 from bestbuy which i paid for $999.95 plus tax. i like the black color than silver. if you need the extra batterie. i have two new silver i will sell.

  • dp u still have silver batteries for Canon HF100?

  • wow still do and it is sealed! i forgot all about it. i was gonna list it on ebay. r u interested?

  • film with HF100 looks great... Thank's....

  • Seals . . . lol

  • youtube only supports up to 1280 by 720 hd but even that would be nice

  • the best format i found was i believe 960 by 540 for high quality and 1080 by 720 for hd uploading to youtube

  • You had an HF100, then you ended up paying $500 to "upgrade" it to the HF11?

    W_H_Y ? ? ?
