Titli, I am sorry but after 6 hours of cooking, this recipe just tastes like cardamons, I think there is to many in the recipe. It makes it taste quite sour, and leaves a horrible after taste, sorry.
I love all your other recipes though :-)

I've tried your recipe Titli and I tried Vahchef's recipe, and I tried a vindaloo recipe out of authentic Indian cookbook. For my taste buds, yours is the best!

Peppercorns?,,, mustard seeds?,,, bay leaves? ,, cardamom? Fenugreek (!?),, chili powder?,,, jalapenos?? ,,, all wrong wrong wrong wrong WRONG. It's like you hit the spice store and drooled: "Dahhhhh,,, I'm making a Vindaloo,, give me one of everything".
Vindaloo paste is 8 ingredients,,,,,, Vinegar, Garlic, Onion, Salt, Ginger, Coriander, Cumin and Kashmiri Chilis. Cloves, coconut milk and cinnamon optional.
Yes, I'm an asshole,,, but I'm an asshole that can make a decent Vindaloo.

@jucklowe a) There are no jalapenos in this. b) Your recipe is wrong. c) Who says this isn't a decent Vindaloo. d) The use of coconut milk is not normal in Vindaloo, although it is quite widely used in Goan cusine. e) Yes, you are.
