Very flexible, but not that fast. I don´t like his kicking style, It is too much the same kicks he are using and the right leg almost all the time. Casanova Wong is better in my opinion.

You are welcome. It is sad how John Lui never got the big break he deserved. Snuff Bottle Connection is propably his most famous movie, with fellow super-kicker Hwang Jang Lee!

I'm a fan of all the kickers mention, Tan, John, Hwang, it would had been amazing to see all 3 in a movie, but no doubt Tan was the man too, and yes he's most likely the fastest of the 3 and most efficient with his kicks. I would have loved to see both vs each other Tan and Hwang, that would have been an awesome movie.

You obviously know your stuff, no debate there. Yes I know about Tan's left leg tendencies and about John Liu's right leg tendencies. But that is their style, they kick with both legs however. I know about Tan being the teacher of John, and also how John beat up Chuck Norris in competitions. Hwang is great...but he often gets outshined in films where there is other kickers. Tan and John never get outshined in their movies. Incredible. Watch "The Heroes" where Tan steals the movie.

flashlegs is indeed and awesome kicker. I have seen that fight, it is really cool. But still to me, Hwang is the best of all the superkickers. His speed, power and kicking combos are great. And he is so well balanced after he have done a tecnic. And yes John Liu did look good in that movie, but the sad thing about these movies, is that the hero are only winning cause he is the hero. there is deeper meaning with the movie exept great fightscenes.

Also I want you to think about something, some food for thought if you will, if Tan is the best or was the best, then why is it Hwang lee fought against Jackie Chan in the movies and not Tan? Also think about this why didn't they have a movie where Tan vs Hwang lee? There are reasons for these things, low grade competition and high grade competition, but there are many movies with Hwang lee vs John lui so obviously John was considered up to a level with a Hwang lee or close.

Well you have your opinion, Yes Tan is an awesome kicker, but if u pay attention you would then notice that he was John Lui's teacher, yea that's right bet u didn't know that did u. lol Also Tan only kicks with his left leg 99% of the time, I own a few movies with Tan & yes he's good but Hwang Lee is the man, u can't just judge a kicker only by high Aerial kicks all the time it's more to it then that. But thanks for your opinion thou, Also I own the hot cool vicious thank u very much

Tan is the king. Check out Hot, the cool and the Vicious. He beats up everybody with just his kicks. he blocked, parried, and locked up all opponents with just his legs. He threw maybe 3 punches the whole movie! He used his leg to force a guy into tapping out. Just plain incredible. In Invincible Armour, Hwang got owned by John Liu, so I don't know what you're talking about?

Nope. Tan tao Liang is the best. He has incredible strength and speed to his kicks. Also he uses the full arsenal of kicks to beat down anybody else. He also makes it look easy. He the best no doubt, then comes Cassanova with his aerial kicks. Hwang does few aerial stuff not counting his triple kick which every leg fighter can do anyhow.

The henchman that comes in at 0:26 was a real asshole in the movie. I was so happy as a little kid to see him get his ass handed to him. Hehe
