Lea's P.O.V

Does anyone know what it's like to have your parents push you to go to summer camp even though you begged down your knows not to?. It's terrible. They send me to summer camp every year. It's a music summer camp. Yay! You might say but the worst thing about it there is Joe. He used to be my best friend. But now he's some jerk. Ok for the past 4 years I haven't been to camp. My parents think that but nope, I was not there. I stayed in my best friends' family's place which was near the camp. Which means I haven't seen Joe in a while. He's been a jerk to me since he has been hanging out with that slut Meaghan. Yeah she's popular, pretty, skinny, has all the curves. But she's pretty rude. Joe doesn't see that. They are not dating, they are just acting like a couple. Not a sweet one though. It's been 4 years and I have grown pretty much. I got taller, skinnier, I now have curves, my fashion sense improved more than before. I'm different now. But still I just hope Joe won't notice me.

My parents eventually found out I had not been in camp but somewhere else. So now they are coming with me when they bring me there. But not staying with me. They are just making sure I am there.

Now I am currently waving good bye to my parents as they're car drives away. I sigh and turn around. I see the name of the camp and talk under my breath.
Lea: Here I am again
I feel new but I'm not. I mean it's only been 4 years. What changed?. I soon heard someone scream my name and come over to me. A smile crept on my face.
???: LEA?!
Lea: Nick?!
Nick: Lea!
He hugged me and I hugged back. Yeah he's my best friend here. I know he's Joe's brother but he's different. He pulled away and looked at me.
Nick: I didn't know you'd come back
Lea: Yeah well parents found out
Nick: I told you. You look different
Lea: Is that a bad thing?
Nick: No a good thing. I mean you look a lot prettier since the last time I saw you
Lea: Thanks
Nick: So where cabin are you staying in?
Lea: Still the same cabin 3
Nick: Same here. Come on
We both walked to cabin 3. Yeah this is how Nick and I met. At least he's a better best friend than the other girls in this camp. They all fall for Joe who plays hard to get with girls. But sometimes he's serious.
We arrived in the cabin and I put my bag in my bed. We have been staying in this cabin for years and still get the same bed. I have been going to camp since I was 8 and thats when I met Nick...and Joe. I started unpacking while Nick wandered around the cabin.
Nick: Wow. The cabin never changed
Lea: What do you mean?
Nick: Remember when we used to write in the wall when we were kids
Lea: Yeah
Nick: Still here
Lea: When you had a crush on Sam Ramirez?
Nick: That was before. I was stupid
Lea: Was?
Nick: Hey!
Lea: I was kidding
Nick: Of course you were
He came to me and looked at what I was unpacking. I soon unpacked a blue notebook with a lock on it that said my name and had a skull on it. Nick grabbed it and I took it off his hands.
Nick: Hey!
Lea: Thats my PRIVATE notebook
Nick: You mean a diary
Lea: I don't like caling it that
Nick: Since when did you have one? And why don't wanna show it?. Is it because you wrote there that you secretly like Joe because of his toned abs and his huge muscles?
Lea: No I don't like Joe. He's a jerk to me remember
Nick: Emphasis on the word secretly
Lea: Right....
This boy is just so darn crazy. But seriously, I don't like him like that. He's like my brother. My annoying brother that I love. In a brotherly way of course.
I just hope about him saying that I am prettier earlier, doesn't make things more awkward.
Nick was right. I do like Joe. It's just his attitude kills me. It just hurts to see him being a jerk not only to me. But he throws his tantrums to me. They are huge tantrums. I just hope camp this summer will be different than before.
Just then I heard the door open and footsteps coming in.
Nick: Hey dude
Yeah it's a guy. Little did I know it was someone unexpected.
