This tune goes back further, to at least 1977 and Blakey's "Gypsy Folk Tales," a great Roulette album with a Messenger lineup featuring Bobby Watson (this tune's composer) and David Schnitter. It's also on Watson's excellent but hard to find "Roulette album "ETA" from the same time.

This is from the album called "In a Soulfull Mood". Also was released at one point under Wynton Marsalis's name as "Time Will Tell", but I think there was a royalties dispute between him and Blakey, and taken off shelves. Not sure though.
