Everything I Need - Melissa Ferrick (ukulele cover)

I'm kind of nervous about putting this one up. Melissa Ferrick is my favourite singer-songwriter of all time. She writes amazing lyrics, and is a brilliant guitarist. There is no way I could ever do one of her songs justice, but here goes anyway. This one is the title track from her 1998 CD "Everything I Need".

From what I can tell, you rock it like *you*, which is laudable in its own right. :)

I found this video because I wanted to hear the song. In truth, what I needed to hear was your version - it's... less strident? ...More gentle? My dad used to play guitar and sing in the living room after my brother and I had been tucked in. Not lullabyes, but songs of love and hope and beauty that we would fall alseep to. Your rendition somehow captures that childhood feeling of safety, and "it's all okay"
