Biting dogs are not the biggest problem. The postman has stopped coming to a particular neighborhood in the town of Bohumín. The postal service shelved deliveries after a postman was beaten into a coma.The district of Pudlov amounts to a Czech ghetto. Most people living here are members of the Roma community, one in every two are out of work. They were mobbed out of the city center, and banished to the outskirts, where no one can see them. The perpetual climate of humiliation has generated a great deal of aggression, which has been taken out on the postmen. But suspending deliveries is no solution. Some people are being made to wait for social welfare payments because an important letter has failed to arrive.

Kdyz za to muzou sami, nechteji pracovat - at si rikaji, ze maji zajem, ale my vime svy, ze? - decka radeji nechaji krast, nez chodit do skoly. A pak my jeste musime za ne nest zodpovednost, jak se jim, chuderkam, spatne zije v Bohumine nebo i jinde v CR. Bohumin je krasne mesto, mela jsem ho rada, ale odstehovali jsme se - prave kvuli...hm...jistym "spoluobcanum"

Derealmist:I totally agree, I too come from Bohumin, this story is very one-sided, especially one sentence made me smile " we don't have time to go to post office, the post is not delivered-and so we dont get our jobseeker allowance":)) There is lot of good hardworking gypsies in Bohumin too, shame this lot is just not bothered...
