What does the backup output look like? Is it a copy of the input file that I can access through explorer like I do the files in My Documents, or does it mash everything together into a proprietary format?

The output is the same as the input. You can read it just fine without any propriatary file reader.

once u have seen the intro (for the first 100 eps) u can just skip it... its not that bad and its important to inform the newcommers of how the show is possible.
