NUGGETT! My adorable Australian Kelpie sits and waits for instructions. She then rolls over on to her back despite her friend Toby trying to sniff her....

  • ^^ its funny, everywhere else, they call them "Australian Kelpie's" but here, we just call them "Kelpie's"

I'm so proud to be Australian.

  • Kelpies are the most loyal dogs ever, they need alot of work if you live in a suburban house, but man, my boy was amazing. I took him from a shelter and he never strayed from my shadow. Kelpies are the best.

  • We have a 4 month old Ausie Cattle dog that I would swear was at least half Kelpie. We had a choice between 6 puppies and my son wanted the odd looking one, was slimmer and had longer legs than the rest of the puppies, also has markings much more like the Kelpie in this video. Whatever it is she is a great little dog, learns fast.. is a bit of a handful but I think we might have a great agility dog here..one that can compete with the Border Collies.

  • Hahaha I have a kelpie named Holly and shes 9 yrs old :D

  • @Missydizzychick1 No, that's a "dog" thing. Many dogs are terrified of thunder and fireworks. We've had two Kelpies who are pretty OK with thunderstorms. Our Shepherd X though - she's absolutely petrified of them.

  • Im in Canada and have an 11 month Kelpie. When people ask me what breed of dog I have and I say Kelpie, they have no clue. Murphy also looks like Nuggett - he also trained very fast - house trained in literally 4 days, plays frisbee, flyball, loves long walks and knows a host of tricks. Such a good natured and intelligent little fellow. I am surprised they are not more popular here. Murphy was also very hardy in the winter walks too!

  • My kelpie Ruby is identical to Nugget(t?)! She was abandoned after she had pups at 7 months and we got her from the RSPCA. She's so friendly and calm, most of the time. The day we got her she was relaxed enough and trusted you enough to be lying down half-asleep and you could come up and lie down with your head on her stomach and she wouldn't even blink.

She's terrified of thunder and fireworks though. So is my friends kelpie Rusty. Is this a kelpie thing?

  • @IngredientXD poor bugger, shes rounding up cattle in heaven now.

  • @Kokoda144 my dog was a kelpie and lived to the same age we both have a similar story ): she died only a couple weeks ago

  • looks like the same kelpie i had, tan socks ect. he lived till the age of 16 human years and that was in the hot tropics. when he was on his way out he was barking because i think he was frustrated that he couldn't use his legs to come for walks. that broke my heart. vet said his organs where stopping so we put him down. he was a fighter till the end. he was always trying to get in side to be with us. so i moved the tv and bed down stairs and he would never leave my side. friendly as well.

  • KELPIES ARE SO CUTE THANKYOU FOR THE AMAZING VIDEO. (: my dog was a kelpie (Lala) may she r.i.p

  • I just adopted a kelpie from my local shelter about a month ago, I named her Sukie. She's my best friend! She's super obedient! Always goes outside for business, comes when called, loves "go bye bye" car rides and always loves to cuddle up in the evenings. I could have never asked for a better dog! i love her<3
