  • Does anybody else realize this is the sound that George Lucas used for the machinery that was used to carbon-freeze Han Solo on the Cloud City of Bespin in "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes back?"

  • air start gives an engine one heck of a swing to turn over and fire up but pray to god it doesn't miss because you'll have to refill the air tanks to try again.

  • @ScottF250 Hey jackass butface, you don't know shit about me. What the fuck does liking Star Wars have to do with getting laid? You think that people who like Star Wars can't get laid? What a stupid fucking statement. You are an ignorant asshole and I bet if I met you on the street you'd be afraid to put your money where your mouth is. Shut up or grow up. Either is preferable to the idiocy your spraying.

  • we started the big detroit diesel engines for our drawworks and pumps with air when i worked on a drilling rig.

  • That is the same way we started the two 16V251E's on a ship I worked on. We did the same air start on another ship powered by four EMD 20-645-E7's. The Alco's were super loud even with all the sound insulation and 2 decks down. I love them on trains but they are had to sleep with on a ship.
