@whostheboss92 Yea I was wrong; Eagles made the NFC championship that year, not the Superbowl.
i call for a replay!
lol

@7erikgiles Do what math? The Patriots played the Rams in the Super Bowl...

What everyone fails to understand, this was not a blown call due to an interpretation of a rule; rather, they misinterpreted their own replay rules.
1) The replay was inconclusive, meaning the call should have stayed as it was called on the field (a fumble)
2) Refs have 90 seconds to overturn a call; they took more than 5 mins. If they take that long, by definition it was inconclusive.
Finally, this was 2001. The PATRIOTS played the EAGLES in the Superbowl, right after 9-11. Do the math,

I agree with that.
Let me spell this out... it is a FACT that the tuck rule was intentionally misinterpreted to give the ball back to New England and give them a shot at tying the game with a FG. If we got the ball it was over, we run out the clock on four downs. Watch the video and you will see that Brady is well past the point of throwing the ball when Woodson hits him. Look at the rule in Wikipedia, watcht the video... no throw, its a fumble. Officials knew that no one knew the rule, misinterpreted on purpose.
