It was never posted on his blog. It is from demos Matt made before his first album LOTGA.

A former band member released them without Matt's position and called them the History Teacher Demos.

@svedj Matt didn't do any of that. It was one of his former band members who did this. It was 100% unauthorized.

matt actually did release a history teacher double disc very exclusively through his blog. he offered for a very short period of time that anybody who donated to amnesty international and could provide him with proof obviously would be shipped the collection of demos.

I wonder if Matt is upset about the demo material being released. Either way, as a fan, I am so happy to be able to hear these. It really shows, more so, the genius of his songwriting. The lyrics he writes always have this effect on my that stops me in my tracks and makes me think.
