This was a #2 hit for Glenn Miller in 1939. The Ink Spots' version was a #3 hit as well that year. The biggest hit version was by The Platters, #1 in 1956.

Yes, Miller recorded it 17 years before The Platters (1939 vs. 1956); GREAT song, both versions, in their own ways.
