Olympic weightlifting to "For the Love of the Game" by Pillar. Features lifters from the past and present who are willing to give it all for the love of the sport, no matter what are the consequences.

Consumed by reputation,
It's what they say that gets you down,
You find new motivation,
Inside this new love that you've found,
It's now your navigation,
To keep your head engaged, oh yeah,
Your final destination,
Keeps you focused on the win

[Pre-Chorus]
Count me in, but don't count me out,
You can't shut me up, you can't shut me down,
Fight through the hurt,
Fight through the pain,
Without the ache there is no gain,
We live our lives for the love of the game

[Chorus]
And we will rise,
This is our time,
Don't let the chances of our lifetime pass us by,
And we will rise,
This is our time,
We'll give this everything we've got,
For the love of the game

Reach for a new elevation,
And see just how high we can go,
Full blown determination,
Will take us further than we know,
My own anticipation,
Keeps the fire from burning out,
It's time for domination,
No one will ever take us down

[Pre-Chorus and Chorus]

[Bridge]
'Cause I won't give up,
I won't give in

[Pre-Chorus and Chorus]

For the love of the game

  • pauls best olympic press was 575lbs

  • paul anderson still holds the recvord for THE OLYMPIC PRESS,not the clean and jerk,at 565lbs. i absolutely love olympic lifting and would avise everyone to take up a few of the exercises to increase speed, flexibility, and of course tremendous strength and power.nothing like holding huge weights overhead! i get freaking goosebumps just thinking about it.its an unbelieveable feeling.

  • @Muscle462Memory hahaah i know right? fuckin crazy amounts of weight.

  • I don't know how it's humanly possible for the clavical bone to achieve the level of density enough to support this sort of weight.

  • @manjot1 That's for sure :)

  • @manjot1 Well I don't know if it is allowed, but there was once a lift called the "Clean and Press" - now removed from olympic games (So I believe you can not press the weight). The Press was, as I see it, just a standing press instead of the jerk. This will make you clean less, since you can lift far heavier in a jerk compared to a press. I would just seperate the two lifts and do sets of cleans first and then the sets standing press after. Probably after bench press, too.

  • And also when doing that clean and jerk, are you allowed to press the weight rather than doing the jerk in competitions? I find pressing easier, also jerk fucks my right knee up, I had 2 knee operations on my leg few years ago :|

  • I do boxing, I started doing Olympic lifting few weeks ago for explosive power, and I fucking love it! Enjoy it so much, my technique is improving and I'm lifting more and more very quickly..it's much better than doing that body building type weights.

  • the armenian @ 2:25 , his left leg is twice the size of his right one

  • @TheShankman that was 190 for C&J, more than 3 times his weight... 60 kg
