  • Nice job, but where is this new music arrangement from?

  • The music is the Slitheen theme from Season One of the new series. I've rearranged it a bit for it to fit in with my trailer, but I think the full piece can be found on the soundtrack CD.

I will be mainly using music other than the theme tune on 'series finales' or more epic stories such as The Invasion.

  • 'The One With The Maggots' was definitely from the heyday of Doctor Who from the 'behind the sofa' days.

The maggots seriously gave me the heebeejeebies when I was 8 in 1973, and for several days afterwards I remember being very jumpy indeed.

Even now, they give me the creeps.

You have to take your hat off to the writers who pitched the level of scaryness just right to get it onto public TV, yet manage to get it away as a children's show. In 1973, this WAS scary shit.

  • Nice job. I hate the real Next Time trailers at the end of the new episodes. They show too much and totally ruin the ones with cliffhangers. I think it's more effective to cut straight to the credits and end theme music.

  • Nice cliffhanger at end of part 3 when the egg broke open and the maggot crept up from Jo from behind...

  • anyone who saw this when it was first on remembers it clearly.

The BBC must have toned it down after that

  • Looks like a nice episode!

  • I like thats comment 'great story, terrible effects' most of todays doctor who is 'Great effects, terrible storylines' :)

  • great story

    terrible effects

  • thank u i didnt know he had passed away ,im sorry feb 22nd the day of our earthquake here in christchurch prick of a day

  • Nicholas Courtney: Actor known for his long-running role as the Brigadier in Doctor Who died London, 22 February 2011.

  • Wonderful trailer. I've seen many fan-made trailers that are spoiled by music from the new series, but this is one of the rare times it works... A 'like' from me.

  • I LOVED the Green Death when I was younger...kept waiting for it to come on again...(pre-home video days).

I like the timing of the "I am the computer" line followed by the "sting" leading into the end credits.

My only beef with these neat "Next Time" trailers is that technically, it should only preview the events of the next episode...

Though one would argue that it's for the next complete story as most of the ones in the new series are not divided.

    So, there's some flexibility there.
