The British people are not "forced" to pay anything to the BBC. If you own a television, you pay a license fee.

The BBC is a fantastic institution. Countless radio stations, numerous TV channels and a world-class website.

At least it presents the news accurately and without bias. If you don't like it, don't pay your license fee, move to the States, and spend your time torturing yourself by watching Fox News.
