The first test of a highly modified 44 CI Mercury Outboard. Four Carbs, snowmobile reeds, finger ports, beveled crank, oil injection alow this engine to turn 8950 RPM. Speeds were in the 80's even with an undersized prop and an over weight boat. Visit our web site aeroliner-boats.com

  • Thanks for sharing this great video.

    The Mods rule!

I can vouch that with a Pugh hull, you don't need to back off in the corners, but it takes a while to drum up the courage to not back off.

  • The hydro was a brand new Ropp Hydro that was built in 2002 for Harry brinkman. he intended to run his 75-H mod engine on it. We will finish the engine this winter and run it along with the merc 44. Hopfull with the six we will ne well over 100.

  • Really Nice!

Lap three and on were the best by far.......No need to back off in the corners with a Pugh--Just turn the wheel! ;)

  • Oh baby!

  • Man that's sweet! Sounds like high revving Indy cars.

  • SWEET!! Nothing sounds like a staker Merc

  • Simply Awesome... Conrad
