The BBC pays tribute to Paul Hunter, who tragically lost his battle with cancer recently aged only 27.

This two part collection looks at Paul's performances in the tournament he made his own, the Wembley Masters.

  • thx !!

is it possible to see the others frame of this exceptionnal match?

  • The rest of the match isn't available from BBC online (which is where I got this clip), and unfortunately my own recordings don't go back as far as 2004. I'm always looking for snooker footage though and if I come across it I'll let you know.

Apologies for the sound sync by the way, something must've gone wrong at youtube's end as the file as I have it is fine.

  • 1:12 :O Hot chick!!

  • @sierraoscar1990 u luv it

  • @AntiFanBoy1 care to post a video of you potting it 10/10? No, because you can't, and that wouldn't even be in a tournament, let alone in a deciding frame, let alone in one of the the big three. And by the way, the red jawed. Therefore, it was not "missed by a mile" :)

  • I can watch this video almost everyday, great match, great players. Hope that Paul is showing the best snooker skills in Heaven. R.I.P. Bro! :)

  • Choked up. What a character. He's playin ill shots up there right now. Peace and love bro.

  • @outdoorpooltable u sick fucker

  • how i wish this lad is still with us ..:( he would sure give us some excellent snooker playing . Paul ure a great player R.I.P . We miss u a lot !! R I P FROM Maltaxx

  • The last truly great match was Ebdon v Hendry in 2002. But then I haven’t really been able to watch it since I finished uni so I hope I’m wrong… I don’t get to watch it these days, but I’m saddened by the loss of Hurricane Higgins, it seems to me to be another nail in the coffin of one of the most thorough peculiar British and damn right exciting sports I can thing of. I wish you well Barry Hearn.

  • But what I really miss when watching this is how snooker use to be. I can't really explain what has gone missing, but definitely snooker has lost its soul these days... maybe Hazel Irving replacing the unforgettable David Vine, maybe Ted Lowe, the growly voice of snooker, maybe the smoking, maybe the drinking (who can forget /Bill Werbeniuk)

  • I used to love snooker as a kid, from 3 years old watching Parrot win pot black, to when I finished uni (2004) when I watched Paul Hunter win his third Masters, watching this makes me sad for more than one reason... the three come-backs he made were unforgettable as was Davis beating Ronnie O'Sullivan in 97.
