This edited package contains all the references in that show to "Adventure Island", the hugely popular series which ran on the ABC from 1967 to 1972, and its forerunner "The Magic Circle Club" (1965-1967, 0-10 Network Australia).

- Mark Trevorrow sings a jazzed up version of the theme from "Adventure Island" to open the show.
- Excerpt from "Adventure Island" episode 1: Opening titles/Nancy's intro.
- Interview with Nancy Cato (first host of "Adventure Island"), including a further excerpt from episode 1.
- Nancy's contributions to a general discussion about children's TV (other guests including Patricia Lovell, Agro and Dylan Lewis)
- Mark Trevorrow ends the show with a few lines from "The Magic Circle Club"'s closing verse.

Midguardz, I'm going to say this politely but I think you are nuts. Just because a gay may have a certain take on a TV show hardly means you have been "robbed" from enjoying it ... you can enjoy it for what YOU like about it, don't worry about what someone else thinks ...
I agree with you midguardz. Hijacked, rather than demonised I would say. I've upped this as it's the longest recent tribute to Adventure Island I'm aware of. I would much rather it was hosted by someone non-camp, but as you say in these enlightened times that is hardly likely to occur. Like you, I don't find this type of camp amusing in the least and an imposition on the material.
I hate how a lot of camp guys like this host try to demonise the innocent 70s fantasy spirit as gay or camp. That means any straight male has now been robed of any fantasy or adventure because the gays have claimed all the fantasy as part of their poncy behaviour. I hate how we pretend to be sophisticated these days & know so much but really we are all conditioned as to what's politically correct including how to compartmentalise our thinking. You can all get f##ked.
