Marked this video 'LIKE', (for quality) but watched it in horror. Now live in SC, but spent 3+yrs in Ro-cha-cha. Enjoyed the people, history, lake. Worked at Kodak Park 'on contract'. Never been given a map of a plant B4 !!! I remember a notice @ the front gate...17,000 laid off. A tragedy. Ref: joeyoyo's comment; we worked in China in 2001. Young adults so positive; v different to US. Trivia... India & China each have more colleges than USA . Inevitable, huh?

"sighs" I wish they could do that with my school :(

That's what happens when you hold an overeaters anonymous convention off the ground floor...

The bird was on the light pole in the middle foreground.

My dad used to work at the Canadian branch in the 70's/80's. They had seen the possibilities of digital technology even then but execs didn't think it would be viable. It seems they dropped the ball 30+ years ago. Somewhere, the heads of Kodak can be seen hanging out with the top brass of the american auto industry- captured on Polaroid, no doubt.

i live right down the street from this. it still has some of the rubble sitting there. Kodak is nothing but a HUGE parking lot now. Im pretty sure the company is failing because i have talked to many laid off workers, some just got laid off a few months ago. This is two years after the demo.

I was there when Building 23 was imploded. What a waste. All they do in Rochester is demolish perfectly good structures or so it seems. Midtown Plaza is now being gutted for demolition. Will everybody cheer when that comes down, too?

is it me or does Youtube have problems with their videos??
Many of the jobs that were once in Rochester are now in China. And we wonder why we are in a recession and China is the fastest growing economy in the world.

Another American company, with dedicated employees, whose managment got complacent and sloppy. Sears, IBM, Wards, any of the big three automakers, Earthlink -- the list goes on and on. What the hell are these so-called business schools and MBA programs teaching!?
