This is my first video in art movement caught by the video camera on site and more to come soon! Something new, something real. I was at coffee shop and was inspired to create a video using a Dali postcard and a drawing I created while videotaping it, The paper was moving and I had no color and only few minutes. With proper colors and still camera and book next time I will create something more surreal to the eye of the beholder. Please comment and let me know your thoughts! Nasty comments & uneducated youtubers will get the boot!
Maria Callas Opera Singer is the background song.
Dedicated to Sergio and Veli for their support on my morbid habits!
"Surrealism is a style in which fantastic visual imagery from the subconscious mind is used with no intention of making the artwork logically comprehensible.
Founded by Andre Breton in 1924, it was a primarily European movement which attracted many members of the chaotic Dada movement. It was similar in some respects to the late 19th-century Symbolist movement, but deeply influenced by the psychoanalytic work of Freud and Jung.
The Surrealist circle was made up of many of the great artists of the 20th century, including Jean Arp, Max Ernst, Giorgio de Chirico, Man Ray, Joan Miro, and Rene Magritte.
Salvador Dali is the single best-known Surrealist artist."

This video has certainly got a surrealist feel to it! I think it would be fair to say that Dali was more than just the best known artist. Dali was the master & best representative of the movement. He was surrealism itself!! Other artist could get in & out of the experience but Dali lived it, thought it, was it!

When the video start, the image of my acrylic eye was undone, the finished painting is my little icon next to my name on top right hand of this video.
Thank you.

This's a good video. It's refreshing when people come out with something of their own as oppose to mere photos with music! I really like the "on-live drawing"; very interesting to see the artist composing the picture. Thank you (medavog); a truly good first vid!

Wow your unconscious is working well--the drawing is very evocative of Callas-- the eye and the Chanel earring--what she would have called "listening to the music" in your drawing.
