@valachesh It's medieval French from the Provence, the spelling isn't unambigious, e.g. you can find "ceulx"/"ceux"; or "mains"/"moins" etc., the first is a more archaïc orthography. It's based on a poem of Christine de Pisan.

@ecnaDmrotS There's a link in the description to the poem, so you can look up the exact wording. The exact title of the poem remains unclear, maybe it never got a name. It belongs to a lyrical medieval French genre called Virelai.

@valachesh Qntal doesn't use the second and third stanzas of the poem in their song. Helium Vola doesn't use the third and the fifth one in their version "Je chante par couverture". So what you are looking for is the translation of the fifth stanza. It's obvious what it's about, but I'm not sure enough to make a literal translation. Maybe someone else can help.
