@ReqUiemCLAYMORE you just wont Accept the fact that Ace Frehley is above even a God in Rock'N'Roll. Ace was more Original with is playing, the way he plays is astonishing he has more soul and feel to it than Richie, dont get me wrong here i listen to bon jovi too.. seeing as one of my favorite sons are Living on a prayer. but Ace is just plain better
Ace's playing has been cited by a LOT more guitarists as influential. Who is "better", it's a matter of preference. I like both.
I think as guitarists go (both writing and playing) Frehley had more to offer in originality. As a singer, Sambora's backing vocals are as important to the success and the sound of Bon Jovi as Michael Anthony was to Van Halen.
Ace Frehley is imaginative, soulful, and creatively frames & transforms every song into his own melodic masterpiece.
Listening to Richie Sambora is as exciting as watching paint dry. He is the essence of boring, unemotional, technical player that makes us fall asleep during the song.
Not even close - Ace is a real musician. Richie just plain sucks.
Ace plays simpler than Richie, basically many of his solos are based on a pentatonic scale, but it is how he plays them, loud and aggressive, what makes them thrilling and electrifying, just like Iommi or Angus Young do. Richie has lots of awesome solos and is an amazing and really creative guitarist , and more technical than Ace, but since it all boils down to what sounds better, I would go with Ace!!!

I think Richie plays cleaner, but from the comparison solos I have heard, Ace is more creative and his solos are more interesting to listen to.
