  • I like the fact that your providing education as really if you are not in connection with these issues you don't really know whats going on or how serious it is. Thankyou for being so kind hearted.

  • It is good someone is doing this environmental work - thanks for that Matthias

  • Good job Matthias! Nobody is completely perfect with regards to the environment. But people like Matthias set examples by actually giving a sh*t about their personal impact and doing many things within daily life and business to be greener.

Keep it up Matthias and good luck on the award.

  • Roedene You would be surprised. In Spain there is no public recycling facilities.

And don't get us started on the U.S. I'm sure you're familier with Al Gores speech.

But great you're doing your bit for the future I wish many would follow your example. And I think that's what Matthias is trying to influence. Just this video has made you more awair right? :)

  • I hope you realise I signed up for UTube just to reply on your comment.

Dear Mariandre you are most welcome to wake up to Global warming in a century and find that it is too late. What ever Matthias' motivation might be if you approve of it or not. He is trying to do something about our environment. What are you doing...? It's not about a contest. Matthias is helping us to help ourselves.

  • Dear Matt,

Al Orolfo here of Quezon City, Philippines. Quite surprised about this search, did it include the indigenous peoples in the contest who I considered the "greenest of all persons". Anyway your advocacy helped a lot to remind us to reduce our "carbon footprints" and show it by going into action. You got my vote. Goodluck.

  • Hi Roedene - thanks for your comments. I actually mention in my video that I use electric fan instead of air con (depending on heat and guests I might have) - my footprint is not low due to my travels. It is around 20 tons of CO2 approximately per year, but my trees alone capture about 200 tons of CO2 a year and my business target with the green cement products is 20 000 tons for next year going up to more than 100 000 tons in 2010. I can let you know the detail of the figures if you want to

  • travelled from germany to malaysia (did he walk?!) sat on a leather sofa, wearing commercially produced clothes, leather belts, using electric fans above head (you can see the reflection in his pictures behind him)... hardly green is he! He does nothing more than my wife does... he recycles, uses public transport and would like everyone else to do so.

  • matt, go to youtube under worm composting they will show u re garden wastes and it will not attract roaches cos its covered. and no smell also. as long as u keep out dairy, meat . how do u know what is the running count for the greenest person contest?
