My new Epiphone Sheraton II, played on the highly under-rated Fender G-DEC 30.

Sorry for the minor flubs and whatnot. This is my first youtube video so the sound quality and volume is a bit inconsistent.

Also, when I say "middle pickup", I really meant middle pickup switch position. Sorry about that!

Many of the Jazz licks are from starglasses76 and LickByNeck. I highly recommend checking them out!

  • hey if its between the sheraton ii and the fender stratocaster hss, which will be better for the led zeppelin kinda music???

  • @WeLovePizza2012

The Les Paul is weapon of choice for Zep kinda music, but either instrument should do fine. The sheraton II would get you a thicker tone, but you really should try both out for yourself and see!

  • where did you find the blue monk tab? I've searched it and had no luck :( great playing by the way.

    search for starglasses76 on youtube

  • very nice playing and thanks for the review. I'm thinking about picking up one of these Sheratons.

  • @WeLovePizza2012 its probably too late but a les paul will always be better than a strat. strats, even expensive ones feel too flimsy, and personally i hate the sound of those single coils, exept for the neck, that one sounds nice. for led zeppelin hope u got the sheration. the consistance you get from humbuckers u cant get from single coils

  • @rvkfc71 It is a very versatile guitar, and I would say that it covers a broad spectrum of tastes in the blues/rock genres. For jazz it is especially nice, although some may prefer a little bigger body. I find it does the Eric Johnson/Clean Satriani stuff really nice as well.

  • @coolwhales Hey man I´m deciding on buying this guitar. I play a lot of jazz, blues, rock and a little bit of bossanova. What genre do you recommend is good with this guitar (other than jazz and blues, which you mentioned in the video)?

  • nice blue monk in the begining, i love thelonious monk

  • how heavy is this guitar?

  • These are really nice guitars. The only thing that really set them apart from the Gibson ES 335 is the cheaper electronic. Nothing that can't be fixed.

Just get a nice BCS vintage 335 harness for 67$ and a set of Gibson classic 57/57+ and you are as close as possible to the real deal.

I hate the fact that to get triple binding or even interesting inlays on a neck you need to spend so much with Gibson...

  • @juankenon New Sheratons are Korean made, In The Samick Factory !
