Today I want to say something here, I hope it could have a little help for my country.
Before I go any further, I want to take this opportunity to say thanks to every friend who greeted me after they knew the earthquake happened in China.
The earthquake occurred at the Beijing time 2:30pm, on the 12th of the May in SiChuan Province, the southwest part of China, the epicenter is in the WenChuan County. The earthquake magnitude is 7.8. This massive earthquake affected many countries and regions. Even I was in Beijing at that time, I also could felt the floor I was standing had a little jolting, but at that moment, It was very hard to imagine how badly destroyed, however, after watching media reports these days, all we Chinese people is tearing.
Our government began to rescue at the very first time, because the epicenter is in the mountain region, after earthquake, bad climate like continuous heavy raining and demolished road access made the rescue team cannot immediately reach to the place. So we had to send many soldiers to parachute those regions in risk of death; every brave soldier signed the last word before the action. Hundreds of Thousands soldiers and doctors come from many different places and also have many professional rescue teams come from different countries work together in operation now. It shows us in front of the disaster, no one can resist the force of nature, but the human could stand together as a family.
Today is the 16th May; the time is 18:30 now. It has been past 100hours after the earthquake. The rescue operation is going four days already. According to a continuously updated report, the quake caused 19,000 known deaths, but this figure is still increasing.
It's heartrending to watch the children are still buried under the debris. It's heartrending to face so many people lost their houses and their relative. It's heartrending when you know they need your help but you cannot reach your hand to them. I don't know what could comfort the people in distress. Only can we do is to donate money and medicines. And now at here I want to let more people around the world to pay more attention to this massive disaster, to care of these people who still in danger. We ask for your help! We ask for your donation!
