This oversize load was a 14' 8" high holding tank that needed a high pole escort from Port Jerivs NY to Hartford CT. This type of load can only travel Tuesday through Thursday in CT and since this took place on a Thursday it was important to deliver that afternoon, or the driver would be stuck until the next Tuesday.
As the load crossed the Delaware River into New York the chase car broke a tie-rod and was unable to travel. We had to wait for a chase car and then race daylight in order to deliver.
