Incorrect, Obama said the military uses FEWER horses and bayonets. You know what great? Romney's ignorance and how out of touch he is. Romney didn't even know that the military using fewer submarines is PROGRESS. Hilarious!

MOST of what Romney says was a lie. His telling the truth is when he gets caught with comments like saying he doesn't care about 47% of America, and that he doesn't worry about poor people because they are just fine. Most people outside of Fox call that "out of touch."

Well I guess if the military does it then ipso facto it's a good idea. Actually in my experience it's the people who sign up for the military who need to project strength. There are exceptions of course - everyone who could in my family enlisted during WW2 and fought with honor. But WWI, Vietnam, Iraq? We had the sense not to get involved in that insanity.

By the way, your boy Romney was a chicken hawk who wanted the war but ran off to France. At least Obama's consistent.

The pesky fact is that they were trained to use them, as was I for a reason. Otherwise why would I waste my time speaking about a fucking bayonet all day? I'm hateful to those who speak from ivory towers of BS, they needed to show strength somehow I imagine, and then years later listen to candidates with no military experience casually throw terms around

Some people in the military are frightened and hateful, yes, although I was talking about people like you mostly. And by the way, the military put bayonets on their M-16s in Fallujah as a show of strength, not because they expected to use them. There go those pesky facts again, unraveling your arguments...

It is 100% about numbers. Romney started the numbers thing. Romney made an arrogant comment about the number of ships we have, Obama made this comment in response to it, showcasing that Romney "hasn't spent enough time looking at how our military works."

Jesus, you smug liberal folk just do not get it. Yes, I get it fewer bayonets have been used, although there have been a few exceptional claims from Marines who claimed they did affix bayonets in Fallujah, I'm not in a position to arrogantly denounce their claims like you would seem to do
