You're a bit mixed up. At first, there was a thing called the Transcaucasian Federation, which was an attempt by Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia to break free from Russian rule. Since the revolution had just happened, Russia was weakened, so these 3 nations decided to form a state. The union disbanded because of war with the Turks and ethnic in-fighting, and eventually the 3 nations AGAIN became part of a new Russian "empire". The Russians basically went in and took advantage of the situation.

uhhm yes it is true. when Russian Empire fell, RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic)was formed. Ukrainian SSR, Byelorussian SSR , Transcaucasian SFSR was also formed that were independant from RSFSR.
In December 28, 1922 all those republics signed an agreement to unite and form what most of western world and europ feard the most. USSR.

Not true. Many of those nations were part of Tsarist Russia, ie the Russian Empire.

It's not like they were forced into ussr lol they joined at their own will
-
That's not the point.
They don't want to be ruled by Russia any longer. They want to determine their futures on their own.
-
Borderd nations were better off when they were in ussr, look at them now, most of them are in ruins, and not because of Russia. There are very few of them that are in good condition.
-
What I meant to say was: "Tell that to people from the nations that border Russia."
Hand shake with one hand and knife in the back with the other hand. Wake the fuck up! This isn't fucking Kansas Toto!

I think it's great that the new Administration is getting to work on rebuilding our relationships with other nations.
