What started out as a simple upper timing chain tensioner replacement took on a whole new life when I found a few teeth on the idler sprocket were chipped.
While taking off the exhaust cam sprocket, found the ridge that hold the gear centered was about half broken off. Pulled in a favor from a guy at the local machine shop. Made a bushing that fits the O.D. of the bolt and I.D. of the gear, and is about 1/2 the thickness of the gear itself. Test fit of the whole thing shows it should be just fine, even if it is just a hair off center, I think it'll be ok.
i cant find the timing marks on my 96 sentra
