  • She was/is my favorite rhythmic gymnast of all time. I wish more current RSG athletes would be more daring with choreography and music like Larissa and her other Belarussian cohorts always were...the sport has gotten away from the cutting edge, avant garde feeling that it used to have in the 80's and into the 90's. Now it's in danger of becoming as gauche and cheesy as figure skating.

  • Larissa was a legend (and arguably one of the best gymnasts not to be an AA world champion), but this routine has clear errors, and it's strange considering the COP they let her get away with it.

She was *way* underscored in Atlanta though, so it just goes to show the judges were as fickle then as they are now.

    :-(

  • BLR style is my fav with BUL one.. no UKR and RUS ever had this inner tradition of original choreography mixed with such precision and originality..I LOVE larissa.. too good!

  • So whacked out. Wonderful.

  • Larissa was my favorite. I always wished the rest of the world would take the Belarussian's lead and come up with more forward-thinking, interesting choreography like hers, more daring.

  • Larissa Lukianenko for ever.

  • This rope routin is one of my favorite ever!! Don't know why! I was at the french international in 1996, an she executed it with a white combi! perfect!

  • Original y expresiva

  • The best gymnast ever.
