It's not even so much that. Acting isn't just saying lines, but it isn't this either. Acting is a catharsis: a complete relieving of emotion and stress. The biggest problems with actors, one that I still face, is that we hide behind our voices. I suggest that next time you do it, drop the voice. Don't focus or worry about what you're saying. Just think about what you're actually saying, because it is an excellent message. My friend did this, and broke into tears during the speech....

hamlet isnt putting on a show. hamlet isnt defending hinself in court or appealing to his contemporeries. hamlet isnt trying to portray as many emotions and theatrical gestures as he can in a two minute sound bite.

im not a thespian so heres three pieces of utterly amateurish advice; if youre trying to take the piss out of shakey, no need to change. if you cant understand the character or piece, try harder. if you arent trying, dont bother at all.
