Al-Jazeera Channel Ident (Final Motion Graphic Assignment)

idea: the droplet of water (represented as particle) flows through the tree n thn the rainforest to gather information and stories from around world. the info (little particles) later form into the Al-Jazeera logo.

music is "To the Thunders" by Candlestickmaker

yes!! finally get it done and presented to the industrial guests and our lecturers this morning. doing this whole motion graphic package is really a tiring procedure.. but we learnt alot of things regarding special effects and Al-Jazeera channel itself. (we got the channel by luck draw.. other groups were doing channels like 8TV, TV3, NTV7, TV9 and CNBC)

anyway of coz there were critiques from the industrial guests, but our lecturers, who have seen our effort of doing this all this while, praised us for doing a good job :D yay~

but still the audience is you all. and i hope my group have done the channel justice :P

I like it all except the lower 3rd.. my local news station NBC4i uses that and it's very ugly and cheesy.. uses too much space.

Futura font doesn't really scream News IMO, the lower thirds seem a bit too showbiz for a news channel.

it's kinda... too dark...

and the font were... not matched. please don't use futura or futura-like. use helvetica or helvetica-like.
