@mrkylesfilms1: The thing is, since his removal, the stories of the Mansion have become so jumbled that even the Beating Heart Bride--called Emily by fans--has been replaced by Constance, the Black Widow Bride. But, as she's a black widow, the story of Hatty losing his head over his bride can still work, it just won't have the depressing tone of the initial tale, because no one in their sane mind would feel sorry that muderous Constance died, whereas Emily was the sort one could feel pitty for.
@SkittleE275 Actually, one of the Hitchhiking Ghosts are based on the Hatbox ghost. The man from the ceiling is just a man who committed suicide trying to escape. (That's why the Ghost Host says,"There's always my way.") ^_^
@savage642 the hatbox ghost was the brides "sutor of sorts". every time the brides heart beated his head would come off and into his hatbox hence the name Hatbox ghost. sadly, the effect didn't work very well so they scrapped him. But dont worry, some time this year he will return!!
@savage642 my friend told me in 1969 when the Haunted Mansion opened at Disneyland Anaheim, CA, there were three main characters in the attic section: one of them being the bride, and the other was this hat box ghost which what happens is his head disappears and reappears inside the hat box which he carries. unfortunately the ghost only lasted a month in the ride and was taken out because of issues that the trick he does was not working well due to lighting.
