Manfred Schoof Quintet - Ostinato (1977)

My first video upload in a while... but what a track to start with.. Shades of Herbies Mwandishi period but somehow this transcends that to me... plus the bass player is wearing a cravat and an amazing moustache of that time period... :-)

beautiful bass line, intense flugel, lovely synth organ... can't get better than that!

Jasper is playing an old Yamaha YC20 organ through a phaser and tape echo.

Yeah For Marianne wasn't in the broadcast but I think (according to some records at NDR) it was actually in the original recording along with Resonance... just that when they edited for TV they took those tracks out,,,

Probably lost forever... :-((((
