Very crisp. But the canon do the same thing and the canon when driving on the highway the light poles bend also. And I never seen in any movie that pan that fast or kids. But good video quality.

It is all about sensor/hardware not the software that's causing rolling shutter.
It is about the sensor witch is scanning from top to bottom causing this effect.

Can any one tell me if the D7000 gets distorted like that when the camera is moved quickly?

Thanks for the video test!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go puke my brains out.

Here in America we do things our own way. The wrong way, often...but still, our own way.
If you don't like it, you are a Commie. And you took our jobs.

It's Nee-kon, not Nye-kon.
Great video. It helped me make clear to my girlfriend what rolling shutter does and why it is undesirable in a camera.
Have you thought about doing a series or compilation video detailing undesirable and desirable camera traits to help out the camera newbies?

Thank you for the kind words. That is something I would definitely consider, any tips for what you'd like to see?

Thanks. I was pretty sure it was going to be like this. Are there any manual exposure controls whatsoever in video mode?

Yes, you do have full aperture and ISO control. BUT, you have to take it out of live view and then go back in in order for those changes to kick in. It's not terribly cumbersome but not as good as realtime unfortunately.
It will autofocus while in video mode but it's very slow. Still so far the only digital SLR that will do that mid-shot.
