The American Symphony Orchestra conducted by Leopold Stokowski.

this type of music is played on GOAT SKINS in the Auvergne part of france.
Yeah - goat skins!
in southern ireland, they playa goatskin type of drum!!
in the jewish church, they read from manuals PRINTED ON GOATSKINS!!!
Good God, how do VEGETARIANS feel about all this? What do THEY use when they want to play this type of music. I HOPE THEY REJECT IT.

An interesting contrast to Davrath's version - not as mystical but also superb. Also, I think that several super-great sopranos don't sing this as well as Moffo or Davrath. Even the great Victoria de los Angeles.

This woman is fast becoming my favourite singer on Youtube. And to think I have not heard many recordings by her before...!
Stokowski is not bad either.
I once had to play the piano arrangement of this in a concert. Phew!
