One more thing I thought of. Do you know how to notate bowings? If you look at m. 5 1st Vln the entire first bar is played downbow, and so on. Whenever you slur something together it is one bow direction and then the next slurred group is the opposite. So, for another example right there, m. 8 2nd Vln those notes will be played all in the same bow direction, which will probably be awkward to play.

When I go through a string work I pretend to play it with my pencil to see if it works.

@link090909 I admit I have no clue about string instruments :P ... at the time I wrote this, I was using the slurs as a phrase beginning-end marking, not realising it would affect the bowing

Very nice, Ross.  I like the overall feel of it. One suggestion and one question off of the first listen. When you go into pizz at m. 17, I think you should have a second ending from the section immediately before it just to facilitate the change. And the question: is there a logical reason to have 2nd Vln higher than 1st at m. 43?

It actually does fit as music for a videogame, as mentioned. Sounds great! Only thing I didn't like was the modulation.
