The Virtual mode of play in Missile Command 3D was supposed to be compatible with the Jag's VR helmet. Unfortunately, the VR set never made it to mass-production. Even without the VR, this mode is great fun and everyone who owns it should give it a shot and some time. It's more complicated than just firing from the 3 missile defense silos with the A, B and C buttons -- you actually can move to each silo to get a better view and shot of the missiles coming at you and the buildings. This game is a MUST-HAVE for the Jaguar!

Now this is an all-too-uncommon instance of 3-D being put to good effect. The different silo perspectives are well done, and the transitions between them are so smooth, not an instantaneous jump like most 3D games use. Graphics are nice, and the music is moody. This is the first 3D Jaguar game I've seen that looks worth playing.
On leechapman's problem: Maybe the VR version doesn't appear on both the NTSC and PAL versions of the game?
I have Missle Command 3D but not this VR version. Was the VR version released to the general public despite the VR helmet never seeing the light of day? Where might I be able to source a copy of MC3D VR from?
Missile command 3D was fun, but the missiles that you shot off were practically useless. Rather than having to detonate them manually, they should've just exploded on impact like the real thing.

It should be included in the retail version. I'm certain this was the retail cart I was playing.
