Dr. Donald Tashkin Marijuana Lung Cancer Study Pt 1 of 2

Pulmonary specialist and Federal Government researcher from UCLA Geffen School of Medicine finds that marijuana does not cause lung cancer in his study on the effects of cannabis and the lungs. Results of this study are discussed for the first time. If you agree that cannabis should be legal, write a letter to your congressperson and tell them to legalize it!
Cannabis was made illegal because the paper industry was split between the hemp and the wood pulp factions. The wood pulp people had more money and won, which caused a negative ripple effect in our society such as the loss of a valuable medicine. Since the prohibition of cannabis began the cancer rates have grown at an alarming rate. Cannabis is used for thousands of purposes and it's loss of use has caused great hardship to everyone.
It is time for truth to prevail and prohibition to stop.

Original poster, please don't forget the WAY they made MJ illegal....they claimed it made the hispanics & black men "rape white women" & that it made negroes think they were good enough to speak to a white man. The racism at the time was taken advantage of &, since hispanics & blacks had basically no rights, it was really easy to pull off back then. Now, not so much. LEGALIZE!

@OSMRDucksLIB You are correct, which is why I consider all prisoners that have been convicted of drug "crimes" to be really Political Prisoners. Minorities comprise a larger percentage of prisoners than the National population average by a long shot. It seems that most of our laws are designed to put poor minorities in prison since they no longer can make them slaves.

What i want to know from this Doctor if he can honestly say that its safer to continually take OxyCotin for pain or to smoke Cannabis...? When so many more people have died from prescription drugs... he is really wasting his time researching this... 0 people have died from MJ, and research shows it kills cancer cells while leaving healthy cells in tact... Like i said before eat it or buy a vaporizer.

@thatonesnowboarde Although using a vaporizer or eating cannabis is very good this study was commissioned by the federal government with the hopes that Dr. Taskin would find cannabis to be harmful and cause cancer. He didn't find what the feds wanted so his study was not published until this video was made.

@mariss711 They're not ignorant. They know VERY well that if they legalize MJ, their shitty little agency will be shut down. There's not enough money made from hard drug busts all put together to even come close to the amount of money they make off of the war on MJ & without those busts, they have no $ to pay their agents salaries.

People need to understand this study is based SOLELY on SMOKING marijuana. Nowhere is it mentioned that the majority of the carcinogens are coming from the paper used to roll with and not the actual cannabis itself.
